As election results continue to come in, both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are securing their base states. Each candidate needs at least 270 electoral votes to clinch the presidency.
Votes are still being counted in battleground states like Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nevada—all of which remain too close to call. These key states are critical to the candidates’ chances.
In Georgia, officials in Fulton County reported progress with vote counting. The final memory cards with in-person votes from today arrived at the county’s election hub, and results should be ready shortly. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger expressed optimism, noting that the process has been smooth, despite challenges like bomb threats earlier in the day. He anticipated a timely end to the night, stating, "It looks like this is pretty much done... The results are essentially baked in based on the leads we're seeing."
