Harris and Trump Face Off in Historic Election as Voting Begins in the U.S.

In the U.S. presidential election, voters are heading to the polls today to choose between Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Republican incumbent Donald Trump in a race that remains too close to call. Polling stations have opened across various states, marking the culmination of weeks of early voting, with nearly 81 million ballots cast prior to Election Day.

The election not only determines the next president but also influences the composition of the House of Representatives and the Senate. Harris is campaigning as a candidate for change, aiming to move away from what she describes as Trump's divisive approach, while Trump seeks to restore a "golden age" for America through economic deregulation and stronger immigration policies.

The first voting site opened shortly after midnight in Dixville Notch, New Hampshire, where six registered voters cast their ballots. As voting continues throughout the day, results may take hours or even days to be counted, particularly in key battleground states such as Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. Regardless of the outcome, this election is set to shape U.S. politics and demographics for the next four years, with the possibility of Harris becoming the first female president or Trump the first convicted felon to serve in therole.
